Comfortable and warm country house.
In the village of Sainte-Marguerite-sur-mer on the cliffs of the Alabaster coast, this beautiful Normandy house is situated in a sloping and wooded park out of sight. The half-timbered façade of this country house with its typical Normandy small-panelled openings faces south.
In the entrance, partially open to the dining room, is a majestic traditional wood-burning stove that spreads a pleasant warmth over the ground floor. The living room is nicely furnished and offers a wonderful space to relax in front of the monumental sandstone fireplace. The rough oak beams reflect the typical character of the Normandy Cauchoise. The separate kitchen is functional. To isolate yourself and work in peace, there is an office facing nature. Comfortable living is a privilege in this country house: the master bedroom with bathroom en-suite is on the ground floor and opens onto a tiled terrace overlooking the garden. This bedroom is very spacious with beautiful fitted wardrobes and the bathroom en-suite has a furniture with double washbasin, a bath and an Italian shower. Separate wc.
The first floor is reached by two flights of stairs and is reserved for children and friends. The volumes are generous and light thanks to the rows of windows overlooking the garden. The 4 bedrooms, including a dormitory, are suitable for family and friends. These rooms are divided in two on each side of the stairs. Two shower rooms with wc complete the picture.
Part of the cellar is used as a utility room and pantry / wine cellar.
A small outbuilding next to the main house comprises the boiler room, a wc and one room with fireplace, ideal for barbecues in the low season.
The perfectly maintained barn offers several uses: wood shed, garage, do-it-yourself workshop, garden shed and (2) horse boxes are among the possibilities.
A unique location near the sea!
The house is close to the village church and (Sunday) market and a 10-minute walk from the beaches of Quiberville sur Mer and Sainte Marguerite. The sunsets on the sand and the pebbles facing the sea will enchant lovers of the coast. And here you can still buy fish and seafood directly from the fishermen!
Varengeville sur mer with shops, amenities, sea cemetery and beautiful gardens is ± 7 minutes away by car. The seaside resort of Dieppe is approx. half an hour away.
